Meditate, Write, Repeat: A Meditation Retreat

When: Thursday March 5– Sunday March 8th 2026

Where: Prema North @ the Barn Upstate

(2 1/2 hours from Brooklyn if driving, Amtrak to Hudson and short Uber/Taxi to East Chatham if taking the train.)

This retreat has limited spots so jump on it!

Retreat begins at 4pm Thursday and concludes post Brunch 1pm on Sunday.

Using clear traditional styles of meditation, writing exercises and a look at a core selection of poems and prose we will try to ease ourselves, playfully, into a more embodied, intimacy with our lives and a greater understanding of the practice of meditation.

6am- 8am - Light Breakfast and Wake Up Time (In Silence)
8am- Meditation (In Silence)
9am-10am - Asana
10:30am - 12pm - Meeting Time
12pm- 2:30pm - Lunch and down time  (In Silence)
2:30pm - 5pm - Meeting Time
5pm - 6pm - Rest (In Silence)
6pm - Dinner (In Silence)
7:30pm-8:30pm - Meeting Time

On Site Barn:

1 Queen Private Bedroom with Ensuite Bathroom: $1950 Single, $1175 Double

Open Loft / Enclosed Loft (up a ladder) - non-private, in main space, shared bathroom: $1100

Off Site Accommodations:

Each retreat we rent 3 surrounding homes. Each home is a few minute walk to the barn.

Single Room: $1375

Double/Triple Room: $1125--$1175 depending on location/room.

Local:

Commuter Rate (finding your own accom or you live upstate): $950

Space is very limited. $300 non-refundable deposit required to hold your spot.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Retreat deposit is non-refundable or transferable. These retreats have limited space and the deposit secures your spot.

Balances due: Januaryt 1st

For cancellations requests submitted prior to January 1st, balance is not owed but deposit is still forfeited.

For cancellations after the balance has been paid, there are no refunds or transfers to future retreats.

Exceptions cannot be made regardless of personal emergencies, injury or illness, etc. 

We do know unexpected things can come up so we encourage you to be sure the policy works for you before registering.
