Prema LGBTQ+ Pride Class

with Marcus Berardino

Prema celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, and a half century of LGBTQ+ Liberation.*

We will come together as a community for a sweaty and sexy gay yoga class—taught by self-professed “Out & Proud” Senior Prema Teacher Marcus Berardino—celebrating the rainbow diversity that makes our world stronger.

We will flow, we will breathe, we will move our proud bodies to gay-themed music, and we may even disco dance a little. It will be a soul-filled, inspirational class that will blast your heart open, leaving you even more woke for the next fifty years of battles to come, continuing the work of creating a world in which ALL can live Happy, Healthy and Free.

Whether you're a “Friend of Dorothy” or a friend of the LGBTQ+ community, and definitely if you're a Lover of FABulous gay yoga, ALL are welcome!

All proceeds will be donated to The Trevor Project, a national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ people under 25.

* The first NYC Pride Rally occurred one month after the Stonewall Riots in June 1969, when 500 people gathered for a “Gay Power” demonstration in Washington Square Park, followed by a candlelight vigil in Sheridan Square. Through strong-willed determination, and long-fought political and social battles, many human rights advances have been won for the lives of many American Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered and Queer people. This year’s Pride is also especially important as the community now faces growing discrimination from an administration working to undo advances of the past fifty years.
